This woman had 36F cup breasts, which were cumbersome and got in the way of daily activities, and created some neck and back pain. She underwent a superior pedicle wise pattern breast reduction six weeks prior. close to 800 g was removed from each side. My goal with any breast reduction patient is to shape and cone the breast so that it looks more like an augmentation. A benefit of the superior pedicle is that it preserves volume in the upper pole more so than the inferior pedicle, which bottoms out and looks like a pancake over time.
